What does BuddyDevs actually do?

We’re a full-service digital agency specializing in software engineering, product design, and digital strategy. We build web apps, mobile apps, AI systems, WordPress sites and plugins, and custom platforms — for startups and enterprises alike.

Do you work with startups or only enterprises?

Both. About a third of our clients are early-stage (pre-seed to Series A) and two-thirds are growth-stage or enterprise. We adapt our process to suit the stage.

Are you a remote-first agency?

Yes. Our team is distributed across 6 time zones. We operate fully async by default with structured touchpoints — weekly demos, sprint reviews, and on-demand calls.

Pricing

What’s your pricing model?

We work on fixed-scope project contracts and monthly retainers. We don’t do open-ended hourly billing — you’ll always know the cost before work begins.

What’s the minimum budget to work with you?

Our project minimums start around $8,000 for scoped engagements. For ongoing retainer work, we typically start at $4,000/month.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Most projects are split into milestone-based payments (e.g., 40% kickoff, 40% mid-project, 20% at delivery). We never ask for 100% upfront.

Process

How long does a typical project take?

Most web apps ship in 8–16 weeks. MVPs can move faster (3–6 weeks). Enterprise platforms can run 4–6 months. We give you a week-by-week breakdown in the proposal.

Who will I be working with day-to-day?

You’ll have a dedicated senior project lead — not a rotating junior. You’ll meet them before signing anything.

Can you take over a project already in progress?

Yes — we do code audits and architecture reviews regularly and tell you honestly what it would take to move forward cleanly.

Do you offer post-launch support?

Yes. We offer bug-fix SLAs, maintenance retainers, and full product team retainers for continued iteration.

Technical

What tech stack do you use?

We’re stack-agnostic. Core is React / Next.js, Node.js / Python, Flutter / React Native. For AI: OpenAI, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch. Infra: AWS, GCP, Azure.

Will I own the source code?

Yes, full ownership transfers to you at project completion. You receive the entire codebase, all assets, and documentation. We retain no rights.

Do you provide hosting and DevOps?

Yes — CI/CD, containerized deployments, monitoring, and infrastructure on your cloud account, so you’re never locked in to us.

Legal & IP

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes — NDAs are standard before any substantive conversation. If you have your own template, we’re happy to use it.

How is IP handled?

Full IP ownership transfers to you on final payment. Your code, designs, and data are yours — we retain no rights.
